Learning From Powerful Mirrors

Amanda’s approach to leadership development includes unconventional teachers—horses. As a lifelong horsewoman, endurance rider, and student of dressage, she has learned profound lessons about leadership from living and working with horses.

In 2005, she became certified in equine experiential learning and began integrating horses into her leadership development work. Horses respond directly to presence, intention, and authenticity, making them powerful mirrors for leadership behavior.

Through this work, leaders gain immediate, honest feedback that accelerates insight and deepens awareness—often more quickly and clearly than traditional methods alone.
